Where do Park for the War Memorial?
There are fee-based parking in lots throughout the
downtown Trenton area, as well as some metered street
parking available in the War Memorial.
Evenings and weekends, free parking is available
in the state parking lots on Memorial Drive near the
War Memorial.
There is handicapped parking beside the War Memorial
on West Lafayette Street, available on a first-come,
first served basis.
The War Memorial is fully ADA compliant.

From South of Trenton – Via NJ Turnpike
Take the NJ TURNPIKE NORTH to EXIT 7A, and get on INTERSTATE 195 WEST to Trenton. Follow I-195 West approx. 8 miles to ROUTE 29 NORTH (Capitol City Complex) to Trenton. Follow ROUTE 29 North through the tunnel and proceed approximately one mile to EXIT at MEMORIAL DRIVE. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.
Alternate Route from South of Trenton – Via Interstate 295
Take INTERSTATE 295 NORTH, and take EXIT for ROUTE 29 NORTH (Capitol City Complex) to Trenton. Follow ROUTE 29 North through the tunnel and proceed approximately one mile to EXIT at MEMORIAL DRIVE. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.
From North of Trenton – Via Route 1
Take ROUTE 1 SOUTH to Trenton. When Route 1 splits in Lawrence, stay LEFT on Route 1 South to downtown Trenton. (DO NOT take BUSINESS ROUTE 1 to N. Trenton.) From Route 1 South, EXIT at MARKET STREET. Follow signs to Market Street (LEFT at first light, RIGHT at next light). Take Market Street straight through several traffic lights to ROUTE 29 NORTH (Capitol City Complex) (bear left at fork). Get on Route 29 North and take IMMEDIATE NEXT EXIT for MEMORIAL DRIVE. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.
From North of Trenton – Via NJ Turnpike
Take NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE SOUTH to EXIT 7A. Exit at 7A and get onto INTERSTATE 195 WEST to Trenton. Follow I-195 West approx. 8 miles to ROUTE 29 NORTH (Capitol City Complex) to Trenton. Follow ROUTE 29 North through the tunnel and proceed approximately one mile to EXIT at MEMORIAL DRIVE. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.
From North of Trenton – Via Route 31
Take ROUTE 31 SOUTH to INTERSTATE 95 SOUTH toward Pennsylvania. Then take the last exit in New Jersey (EXIT #1) for ROUTE 29 SOUTH to Trenton. Follow Route 29 South with the Delaware River on your right. Just after Calhoun Street exit on right, take LEFT LANE EXIT for MEMORIAL DRIVE. The War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.

FAQ's

Q: Can I bring my babies/toddlers/children?
A: Yes. All people of all ages are welcome to attend both the State House (during the morning lobbying efforts), and at the War Memorial (during the rally and speaker session). As with any event or outing, please be
mindful of your child’s needs, and plan accordingly.
Q: What is allowed at the Rally location?
A: Chairs and/or blankets are allowed to be set up at the War Memorial, strollers are also permitted.
Q: Is there a place to buy food onsite?
A: Yes! We are thrilled to say the MamaDudes Food truck will be on site at the War Memorial for food & beverages to be purchased from!
Q: Will I be arrested?
A: We have obtained a proper legal permit for this rally through the Trenton State House and have been granted permission to convene at the War Memorial on May 13th. We ask everyone to be respectful and know that our collective goal of the gathering is to feel empowered, meet our fellow advocates & listen to respective leaders in this community!
Q: What is the purpose of the rally?
A: The purpose of this rally is to unite our community and demonstrate through our numbers, that we are organized and active in our cause, and committed to showing up. The speaker line up is meant to draw the community together, empower, and inspire each and every one of us to continue putting one foot in front of the other, and remind us of why we do, what we do.
Q: What are we rallying for?
A: Preservation of our First Amendment Rights.
Q: What materials can we use for the rally?
A: There will be some signage printed supplied, you are also invited to create and bring your own! But remember, PLEASE, no sticks or poles on these signs—they will not be allowed!
Q: Is the event indoors or outdoors?
A: The suggested lobbying efforts in the morning would be indoors at the State House from 9am–11am. The rally itself will be outdoors at the War Memorial, which is walking distance from the State House. The rally will begin about 11:30 am and wrap up by 2:30pm.
Q: Will the event take place if it rains?
A: Yes. Please be prepared for rain or shine, and plan accordingly, as the rally will be held outdoors.
